Scenic Drive Home

The owners of this custom build in the foothills of the Waitakere Ranges approached CGI Electrical Maintenance to supply and install the electrical services for their new home.

Sentinel Homes usually work with their own electricians, but they made an exception for us at the request of the client. Although the builders were initially hesitant to work with us, they soon came to recognise our team's trustworthiness, exceptional communication, and high service level. This allowed us to quickly develop a good working relationship.

Services
Our scope of work encompassed a comprehensive design package, covering power, lighting, electrical supply, as well as future provisions for solar power and EV charging. Taking the recent flooding and unpredictable weather in Auckland into consideration, the homeowners decided to include provisions for a generator on the property. In response, we incorporated the design, installation, and supply of a generator changeover system into our services.

Challenges
Due to the unpredictable Auckland weather events of 2023 and ongoing supply chain challenges, the homeowners faced several delays throughout the construction process. However, we diligently rescheduled and managed our team to accommodate these setbacks. Our primary objective was to ensure that our operations did not contribute to any further delays, and that our services aligned seamlessly with their overall construction timeline.

This unique residence is nearing its final stages and is set to be submitted as a contender for the prestigious Master Builders Gold Home of the Year award.
