At CGI Electrical Maintenance, we work hard to provide precise timing, stick within the budget and deliver electrical installations to a high standard for townhouse construction projects. Our proven track record of successful coordination with other contractors and adherence to program schedules has earned us repeat business from clients like Bufton Construction.
We initially worked alongside Bufton Construction to install electrical services for 13 townhouses in their development at Hyperion Drive in Randwick Park, and then another 5 townhouses at McAnnalley Street in Manurewa East.
Bufton Construction was so pleased with our work that they approached us for another project. This time, they increased our scope to include full electrical design. We are currently underway on this project with them on 10 new townhouses in Hyperion Drive in Randwick Park.
Services
We provided a full range of electrical services for the townhouse developments, including all electrical wiring, power outlets, data and fibre, lighting, switchboards, metering, and MATV.
Challenges
Vector is not always able to commit to specific timing for powering the sites, which makes planning a timeline challenging. However, we are dedicated to completing projects on time, so we ensure we have sufficient staff ready to work with Vector's timing. We also need to be agile when coordinating with other trades, as changes to their project timelines can impact our own. As we are often the last trade on the project, we work hard to stick to our schedule, as any delays could impact the completion date of the project.
Communication
Throughout the project, we make sure we communicate quickly and frequently with everyone involved in the development to ensure that any issues, such as supply chain delays, are addressed promptly.
Budget
Keeping the cost low was a high priority for these Kāinga Ora developments. Over the course of the projects variations occurred outside of our control, so we offered price value options to keep the budget on track.
